Champions, Lille and a lively end to the season
Weekend recap from May 22–25, 2026 at Catalònia HC, with the Girls’ U12 team crowned champions, a great experience in Lille and the men’s indoor team close to the semifinals.
The season is entering its final weekends, but Catalònia HC continues to collect great moments both on and off the field.
The team representing the club in the Men’s Second Division Indoor Championship continues to impress and this weekend secured two consecutive victories, leaving them with one foot in the semifinals in the fight for promotion to the Men’s First Division. A group competing with great personality and continuing to show the growth of the club’s men’s section.
As for the Mamis, both teams were eliminated in shootouts after very even midweek matches. Despite the outcome, the feelings were very positive and our teams once again competed until the very end in two highly demanding ties.
At academy level, the stars of the weekend were the Girls’ U12 team, who became champions after winning the final and completing a spectacular season.
The players coached by Jaime Tiscornia finish the year as double champions after also winning the Indoor Championship. A more than deserved reward for a team that has competed at a very high level throughout the entire season. Congratulations to all the players and staff.
Beyond competition, Catalònia HC Academy once again enjoyed a very special experience at the TJP Osaka 2026 in Lille, organised by Wattingies HC.
Much more than an international tournament: days of coexistence, friendships, learning experiences and lots of hockey shared with teams from all over the world. Experiences like these help our players grow both on and off the field, living together, competing and discovering new cultures through sport.
Year after year, this tournament has become one of the most special experiences of the season for many club families.
Thanks to Wattingies HC for the organisation and to all the volunteers who make a tournament like this possible. And thanks as well to the entire Catalònia delegation for representing the club with so much energy and enthusiasm.
