The club keeps growing as the final challenges of the season arrive
Weekend recap of May 9th and 10th, 2026 at Catalònia HC, with the Women’s Junior Team shining, strong feelings from the first teams and a growing club.

The weekend of May 9th and 10th served to close the season for Catalònia HC’s senior teams and confirm the great moment the club is experiencing. Beyond the results, the overall feeling is one of growth, stability and future.
The Women’s First Team finished the season with another victory and closes this second phase with a spectacular perfect record. Now the club must wait for possible movements in the upper divisions to know whether the team will be able to compete in the Catalan Super League next season, but what is certain is that the squad gave everything and competed at an extraordinary level throughout the year.
The Men’s First Team also finishes the season with very positive feelings. Despite losing the last match in a context that no longer had any impact on the standings, the team secured survival comfortably after an excellent second half of the season. A campaign that confirms the growth of a young squad with identity and a lot of room for improvement.

In the women’s section, the two Second Teams closed the season facing each other in another “war of colours”, with a great club atmosphere and a shared third half afterwards. One team finished fifth and the other sixth, leaving very positive feelings for the future. It is also worth highlighting Kika’s debut in this final match.
In Second Men’s Division, the overall balance can only be positive. This season the club had three men’s teams for the first time in its history, a clear sign of the section’s growth.
As for the Mamis, the 7x7 team came very close to reaching the final after a semifinal decided in shootouts under the rain, while the 9x9 team secured a great victory at Pau Negre with goals from Kari Manonellas and Luciana Navone.
Even so, the season is not completely over yet for some teams in the club. The Mamis continue competing, just like several academy teams that still have important matches ahead.

At academy level, the Girls’ Cadet Team earned another 5–1 victory against Egara, consolidating fourth place and regaining strong feelings heading into the end of the season.
The Girls’ U12 teams continue competing and growing during this final stretch, while the big news comes from the Women’s Junior Team. After becoming regular season champions with a great victory against their direct rivals, the team now faces the playoff semifinals and potentially the final.
The players start as favourites after a spectacular regular season, but above all with the excitement and competitiveness of a group that has not stopped growing throughout the year.
Catalònia is closing many competitions this May, but above all it confirms one thing: the club continues to grow, with more teams, higher standards and a stronger sense of belonging than ever before.
