When and how was the Catalònia Hoquei Club founded?
The club was founded in 2004 by a group of families who wanted to continue playing field hockey after the school activity was cancelled. With the support of a passionate coach, they created the club in Montjuïc.

We train at the Pau Negre Sports Complex, located in Montjuïc (Barcelona). You can get there by bus 150, metro Paral·lel (L2/L3) or Plaça Espanya (L1/L3). There’s also car access via the Montjuïc road.

If it’s light rain, training goes ahead as usual. In case of heavy rain or storm, the club will notify members via WhatsApp or email in advance to cancel or reschedule the session.
How long are the training sessions and how are they structured?
Each training session lasts around 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the age group. Sessions combine active warm-ups, technical drills with the ball, small-sided games, and a final match segment. Younger players focus on fun and stick control, while senior teams work on tactics, strength, and teamwork strategy.
What categories and levels are available at Catalònia Hoquei Club?
The club offers categories for all ages: from pre-under-8s (4–6 years old) to senior men’s and women’s teams. There are also mixed groups, parents’ teams, and the Hoquei+ program for people with functional diversity. The goal is to provide a complete hockey experience—whether for learning, competition, or fun.
