A difficult weekend, but full of lessons
Recap of the weekend of February 21st–22nd, 2026 at Catalònia HC, with results across all categories and strong academy performances.
The weekend of February 21st and 22nd has been difficult in terms of results, despite coming after a few days of spectacular weather, with sunshine and good conditions following months marked by cold and rain.
The scorelines do not always go our way, and this has been one of those weekends when the ball simply did not want to go in during key moments. Even so, the club has continued to compete with attitude and commitment across all categories.
In the senior category, the Men’s First Team competed until the end but ultimately fell to Club Esportiu Pedralbes in a match where small details made the difference. The Second Men’s Team Blue also experienced a tough afternoon, while the Second Men’s Team Orange was unable to take points away from home in a very tight contest.
It is worth highlighting the debut of Bernat Segura with the second team, an important step in his journey. The team created chances and pushed until the very end, but the ball simply would not go in.
The Women’s First Team lost by the narrowest margin against Castelldefels in a very competitive match, remaining, nevertheless, in second position. The Papis and the Mamis 7x7 were also unable to secure points, but they continue competing in a very demanding league where every detail counts.
At academy level, the Boys’ U14 team provided one of the highlights of the weekend with a strong away victory against CD Terrassa Hockey B, showing character and attacking efficiency.
The Girls’ U12 team has continued to show its excellent form with another hard-earned away victory. The Girls’ U14 and Girls’ Cadet teams competed in very tight matches that reinforce their development process. Despite the defeat, the Boys’ Cadet team has continued to work with commitment to strengthen its progression.
