A perfect weekend for the Catalònia Hoquei Club! The men’s first team claimed a solid 4–1 victory over Matadepera 88 Hoquei, with goals from Tim Cremer, Óscar Garrido (2), and Guillermo Sabini. A win that strengthens the team’s position in their fight for survival.
The women’s first team secured a dramatic 2–1 win over FC Barcelona, moving ahead of Barça in the standings and staying firmly in Final Four contention.
The Second Women’s Orange team fell 1–3 in the first leg of the semifinals against Iluro HC, though a late goal gives them hope for the return leg.
The Second Men’s team couldn't overcome Matadepera 88 HC Blau in a game with some tightly contested moments.
Meanwhile, the U18 Women’s team continued to improve with a 4–2 win over Club Egara C.
The academy also had a fantastic weekend. The U16 Girls defeated Club Egara Blau 4–1, while the U16 Boys couldn’t handle a strong Iluro HC side.
The U12 Girls earned a hard-fought victory against Iluro, and the U10 Boys beat FC Barcelona Groc. The U12 Boys lost to ATHC C Negre.
The U14 Girls had a strong win away against Línia 22, while the U14 Boys fell to a tough Vacarisses side. The Pre-Benjamins kept gaining minutes and experiences, helping strengthen the club's youth base.
It was also a big weekend for our mamis and papis: the Orange Mamis secured a 2–3 win over Sitges HC Vermell, and the Blue Mamis drew 2–2 in a closely fought match against Línia 22.
The Papis played a very intense match against Junior FC and lost narrowly (1–2), despite a great performance. Our Hockey+ team also competed against EHC Lafact, where the scoreboard didn’t reflect their effort and commitment.
And to close out the weekend... calçotada time! This Sunday, we celebrated the big club calçotada at Can Lleó (Sant Martí Sarroca), with an amazing atmosphere.
Families, players, coaches, and supporters came together for a very special day. With three top-tier grill masters, a mouth-watering dessert contest (special mention to the legendary Catalònia tiramisu!), house wines, and plenty of surprises... A day to bond, build community, and keep growing as one big Catalònia family.
