The first weekend of 2025 was full of activity for the Catalònia Hoquei Club (CHC) . During Christmas, we organized field hockey promotion workshops in various sports facilities in Barcelona. This initiative was a success, with many children discovering the values of our sport: respect, teamwork , and personal improvement . Thanks to the coaches and volunteers for their dedication!
The Women's First Team shined with a 0-4 victory against AD Rimas, reaffirming their position as title contenders. The Women's Second Team Blue earned a hard-fought draw (2-2) against Atlètic 1952, one of the strongest teams in the category. Meanwhile, the Women's Second Team Orange comfortably won 4-0 against HC Sant Cugat.
As for the Men's First Team , they played a very intense match on Sunday but lost 2-4 against Castelldefels HC. Goals from Willi Enos and Joan Reig kept the team in the game until the final minutes. On the other hand, the Men's Second Team fell 4-2 at Castelldefels in a tough match, but the team continues to work hard to improve their results.
The Catalònia HC academy had a busy weekend with notable results. The Boys' U14 Team won 2-1 against Club Egara Blau, while the Girls' U14 Team beat CD Terrassa Hockey B 3-2. In the younger categories, the Girls' U12 Team lost by a narrow margin (2-3) to CD Terrassa Taronja but showed great spirit. Finally, the Pre-Benjamins enjoyed a weekend full of learning and fun with friendly matches against Junior FC and Club Egara Blanc.
The Mamis returned with strength and enthusiasm, enjoying a day where they showcased their competitive spirit and joy of being part of the club. This category continues to grow and establish itself as an essential part of Catalònia HC.
Next weekend, the Women's First Team faces a decisive match against a direct rival. These players are proving that, with hard work and effort, great achievements are possible. Your support is essential.
