A weekend of wins and a calçotada to remember

The weekend of March 21st and 22nd was one of those that truly builds a club. Important victories, progress across many teams and, above all, a calçotada that once again brought together the Catalònia family at Pau Negre.

The first teams counted their matches as wins. The Men’s First Team secured a convincing 5–1 victory and now sits just five points away from mathematical safety. This coming weekend they will face a direct rival, Polo, in a match that could bring them much closer to their objective.

The Women’s First Team achieved another victory with the same scoreline against Egara 1935, continuing their flawless run in this second phase of the competition.

The weekend of March 21st and 22nd was one of those that truly builds a club. Important victories, progress across many teams and, above all, a calçotada that once again brought together the Catalònia family at Pau Negre.

In Second Men’s Division, CHC Orange fell in a match with many ups and downs that was decided by a stroke goal, while CHC Blue secured a very important victory against Sarrià, a direct rival.

In Second Women’s Division, both teams reacted strongly after missing out on the semifinals and won their playoff ties away from home by 2–0. Everything will now be decided in the return leg in three weeks, with the clear objective of securing fifth place, which would be a great reward for their work this season.

The Papis returned to winning ways with a great performance against Club Egara. According to their coach, Manuela Barranco, the team delivered a very complete and high-level performance.

At academy level, the weekend also brought very positive news. The Girls’ Cadet team secured a convincing 6–0 victory against Junior, a result that helps rebuild confidence and keeps them at the top of the standings. Special mention to Emma Tiscornia’s hat-trick and Clara Mercé’s two goals.

It is also important to highlight the constant work of the younger categories, with teams that continue to grow week after week. The Aleví teams remain on a very positive path, building a strong foundation for the future of the club.

And as a key club moment, Sunday saw the Catalònia HC calçotada take place. Pau Negre was filled with people, music, family and great atmosphere in one of the most memorable days of the year. Another moment that reinforces what we are as a club.

Catalònia HC is exactly that: competing, growing and sharing. And this weekend had it all.
