22–23 November: color derby and family

Last-play draw in the color derby, Papis friendly (and paella), Mamis in action and an academy with goals and craft. A weekend with pure Catalònia DNA.

With no first-team games — the Men’s First match was canceled late Friday due to ice on Pla del Bonaire, and the Women’s First had a rest day — the weekend was defined by what we are as a club.

On Sunday, the Second Men’s “color derby” finished in last-gasp fashion: CHC Taronja and CHC Blau drew 3–3 thanks to a penalty corner converted on the final play. It was open, with chances for both sides, and ended with a photograph to keep.

Taking advantage of the Women’s Second rest week, we also enjoyed a special friendly between the women’s second team and the Papis: a narrow win for the Papis and a top-notch paella to close the day. One of those moments that explains Catalònia better than any scoreline.

Mamis and the academy brought the hockey. The Mamis +50 drew 2–2 at Pla del Bonaire against Club Egara 7x7 +50; in Pau Negre’s 7x7 slot, it was a tough morning against Egara 1935. In Hockey+, CHC Blau fell 5–4 to ATHC Heura Vallès E after a long arm-wrestle of a game.

Worth highlighting: a Catalònia team formed by Mamis 9x9 and Mamis 7x7, alongside teams from Sitges, Iluro, Polo, Sant Andreu, Matadepera, Egara and others, took part in the 8th Tournament Against Gender Violence in Castelldefels — a day to add, raise awareness and build club beyond the scoreboard.

Across the academy, clear headlines: Infantil Girls beat ATHC Negre and stay on a strong track; Infantil Boys ran into a very efficient Junior FC B; Aleví Boys lost in Mataró but keep building; Benjamí pushed to the end at Pau Negre; and Aleví Girls produced a goal fest against FC Barcelona Grana before a high-tempo outing in Mataró.

The weekend closed with the smile of the color derby and the post-match embrace: family, hockey and a picture for the memory.
