Super Sunday at Pau Negre: the club in its purest form

Women’s first-team win, learnings for the men, seniors, Mamis and Papis in action, and a growing academy. Recap and outlook as we keep filling Pau Negre.

This weekend we enjoyed a true Super Sunday at Pau Negre: a strong club atmosphere, orange identity everywhere and a big-match feel, even if results didn’t go our way in every fixture.

The women’s first team earned their first home win against HC Sant Cugat (3–2): solid control, composure at key moments and the character to close it out. The men’s first team, up against the reigning champions (featuring an ex-Olympian and plenty of know-how), competed with personality but could not take points this time: a game full of learnings and a clear work line to turn Pau Negre into a fortress.

Seniors (Second tier and third team). The men’s third team — debuting this season — came within a whisker of a first point in a dramatic finish against Sant Andreu. The men’s Second team suffered a harsh scoreline away at Egara.

For the women, the Second Orange side had a good day away at Club Egara and, with a 0–1 win, remain unbeaten, while the Second Blue fell by the narrowest of margins in a match that flipped after the break.

Mamis had a double shift: a valuable 9-a-side draw at Junior and a demanding 7-a-side outing versus Castelldefels; good minutes and rhythm for everyone. The Papis, despite a positive early-season trend, slipped at Pau Negre — a game that leaves concrete lessons and confidence for the rounds ahead.

Academy. The U18 Girls took a fine win in Terrassa and confirm their strong trajectory; the U14 Girls earned a deserved point away; the U14 Boys showed a very proactive version; the U12 Girls posted a convincing victory while the U12 Boys battled to the end. The U16 Boys, despite a tough day, stayed true to the idea until the last minute — an attitude that also counts in player development.

Looking ahead, our aim remains to fill Pau Negre and push our teams. The women’s first team is showing the ambition to return to the top part of the table this year, and the men’s side has the runway and margin to turn good signs into points. #ViuElCatalònia
